How to read the index
A shower’s ZHR is the rate under a perfect sky with the radiant overhead. You see fewer: we calculate that from radiant height, sky brightness and the Moon.
The best time is after midnight, when the radiant is high. Lie back, look wide and give your eyes 20 minutes to adapt.
Do not miss the next window
The best windows last a few hours: after a storm, after rain, on a clear night with an active Sun. Sign up and we will email you when the index at your spots goes above 60.
