Where to stand

Walk west along the beach from the harbour, a few hundred metres past the last buildings. Lie on dry sand, away from the waterline. The glow of Ustka is to the west, so look up and to the east.

Horizon

Sea to the north, forest on both sides; from the beach you see almost the whole sky

Sky darkness (Bortle scale): 4

Rules

Słowiński National Park starts east of Rowy and, according to visitor information, is open from dawn to dusk, so at night stay on the beach outside the park. Keep off the dunes.

About the spot

Rowy is a small fishing village on the western edge of Słowiński National Park. It is smaller and darker than Ustka or Łeba. The wide beach gives a view of the whole sky over the sea.
