Where to stand
Pick an open field or a lake shore outside the village, away from the houses. Check in daylight that trees do not block a large part of the sky. Before going to a show at the centre, ask whether you need to book.

Rules
In the forests you may not camp outside marked sites, light fires or drive on forest roads. The fields are private, so stand by a public road or ask the owner first.
About the spot
Chalin and nearby Izdebno lie in the Sieraków Landscape Park, where a Dark Sky Refuge (Ostoja Ciemnego Nieba) was created. It is one of the darkest places in Greater Poland, among forests and lakes. The Nature Education Centre in Chalin runs sky shows.
