Where to stand
Pick an open meadow or field outside the village. Polesie National Park is close, but at night stay outside it, on public roads and fields. Bring warm clothes, because it gets cold and damp quickly over the wetlands.

Rules
The fields and meadows are private, so ask for permission or stand by a public road. Zones with restricted access apply near the border with Belarus, so check the current Border Guard notices before driving further east.
About the spot
Stary Brus lies in the Lublin Polesie, about 20 km west of Włodawa. It is a thinly populated region of forests, peat bogs and lakes. The sky here is one of the darkest in eastern Poland.
