Hand-picking amber on the beach is common here. Cross the dunes only on the marked paths. Pajūris Regional Park starts south of the town and has its own rules.
About the beach
Palanga is Lithuania’s main seaside resort, with a sandy beach about 18 km long. The former Tyszkiewicz palace houses the Amber Museum.
