Where to look

Search after storms from the west, in the band of seaweed at the water’s edge.

Wind and waves work best from: W, NW, SW.

Local rules

Curonian Spit National Park rules apply: go onto the dunes only on marked paths. The border with the Kaliningrad region runs south of Nida and its zone is signposted; keep away from it.

About the beach

Nida is the largest settlement on the Lithuanian part of the Curonian Spit, a few kilometres from the Russian border. The sea beach is on the west side of the spit, beyond a belt of dunes and forest.
