Local rules
The island is part of Western Pomerania Lagoon Area National Park; only the villages and their immediate surroundings are excluded. The park regulation bans removing soil components, and in zone I it bans leaving the marked paths. Before collecting, ask the park administration which rules apply on that beach.
About the beach
Hiddensee is a narrow car-free island west of Rügen. Its west coast is open to the full sea.
