Search the gravel bands high on the beach that a storm leaves behind, and the foot of the cliff where a slump has exposed fresh pebbles. Wet a flint with water: the pattern of a fossil shows more clearly.

Rules and safety
This stretch (Pobierowo, Trzęsacz, Rewal and Śliwin) was proposed for protection as natural monuments of inanimate nature. The status may have changed, so check with the Regional Directorate for Environmental Protection (RDOŚ) in Szczecin. Pick up only loose finds from the beach. Do not dig into the cliff and do not stand under the cliff face.
About the cliff
Pobierowo is the start of the cliff stretch Pobierowo, Trzęsacz, Rewal, Niechorze. The cliff is a dozen or so metres high and is made of glacial till with sand. The fossils are not in the till itself. They are in stones the ice sheet carried down from the north.
