Rules and safety

The nature reserves Cape Rozewie and the Rudnik gorge lie nearby. In a reserve you may not take fossils or leave the marked paths. The Kashubian cliffs are also a Natura 2000 area. The shore defences at Jastrzębia Góra have been described as in poor condition, so do not climb on them. Do not stand under the cliff face.

About the cliff

The cliff at Jastrzębia Góra is made of glacial till, sand and varved lake clays. The clays are the layer along which the slumps slide. Between 1977 and 1990 the sea took about 0.9 m of the cliff per year on average, so fresh material appears often.
