Where to stand

Choose an open meadow or a verge outside the village and look north. The hills to the north are low, but some are wooded, so check in daylight where the horizon is clear. Park in a marked car park, not on a narrow road.

View towards the pole

San valley and low hills to the north; choose an open meadow

Sky darkness (Bortle scale): 3

Rules and safety

Bears live in the Bieszczady, so after dark stay on the road and the open fields by the village and do not enter the forest. Trails in Bieszczady National Park are meant for walking in daylight, so check the park directorate's rules.
