Search only outside the park boundary: field edges next to private and state woods, drainage ditches and field margins. Always carry a map with the park boundary, because not every stretch is marked on the ground.
Species
moose, red deer, roe deer
Season: Moose shed from November to February, red deer from February to April. The best time is February and March, when the fields are bare.
Terrain: fields, tree belts and small woods in the national park buffer zone
Rules and closures
Kampinos National Park is excluded, because collecting antlers is banned there (Art. 15(1)(3) of the Nature Conservation Act). The buffer zone has no such ban. On fields and in private woods you need the owner's consent, and at the very least keep off sown crops.
About the area
Kampinos Forest is mostly Kampinos National Park, where collecting antlers is banned. Moose and red deer do leave the park for the fields and small woods of the buffer zone, for example near the village of Kampinos. Chances are lower than in the big forests.
